Im 43 female. Ive developed this sagging lower face (yeah I know its age). I hate it tough. Ive had fillers in cheeks and lower face and cheeks but it doesnt really help and they seem to evaporate after a few months and they cost a fortune. I realise its too soon for a facelift or lower facelift. Ive been told its not bad enough. Ive been told Ultherapy only works on 40% of people which is a risk because its so expensive. Any advice appreciated.
I am a potential customer. While there are success stories, there are many stories on Real Self and other forums about people dissatisfied with Ultherapy. Worse then that, there are multiple stories where this procedure permanently damaged a persons appearance. While there will be a degree of dissatisfaction with any procedure done, this is concerning for a procedure with relatively low satisfaction rate that is expensive and can potentially negatively affect a persons appearance permanently
I'm 30 and am quite slim (132lb, 5'10) but genetics kindly gave me a double chin! I have visited two cosmetic surgeons - one recommended liposuction, the other recommended Ultherapy as he said there's only a little fat and that the problem was skin laxity, which he says liposuction won't fix. Ultherapy is more expensive, I don't like how I have to go back after 12 months or so, and it has mixed reviews, but non-invasive sounds good... Which of these in your opinion is more likely to work?
Is it realistic to expect at least moderate improvement from ultherapy for my waddle? I can accept a moderate improvement as a trade-off for not going the more dramatic surgical route. I can accept ultimate cost of ultherapy being higher and need for annual touch ups. Pictures below were shot from below. It doesn't look quite that bad head on. No idea why the upload rotated them.
Considering that the effects are not dramatic but relatively subtle, and the average treatment price is $2,500.00, it is a pretty expensive procedure and will cost about $25,000.00 for a ten year period, if done once a year. The price tag is a little too steep for me. I am 63, and still have really great, smooth and even skin, but the area around my chin is starting to go south. What type of treatment would be my best option? What kind of treatment lasts longer than a year?Thank you!
