Tummy Tuck + Smoking Q&A

Will smoking marijuana a week before surgery affect being put under? I suffer from chronic headaches and I'm not a normal full time user of marijuana, but a week ago I did because I had such bad pain. I heard it can affect my surgery is this true? I plan to ask my doctor

I have smoked on and off since I was 15. Never smoked a pack a day, maybe just one or two cigarettes. About a couple of years ago I started to smoke black and milds (cigar) about once a day or every other day. I am supposed to have a tummy tuck with liposuction in my flanks in about a month. I stopped two weeks ago. What are my chances of complications?

When can I start smoking again?  its been 2 weeks since I had Tummy Tuck surgery and I feel just fine. No pain at all.

My surgery is july 6th. My pre op is june 17th. I'll be within the time frame for no nicotine on july 6th, but im not sure about the pre op test. How sensitive are the tests? Will i pass? I stopped smoking May 23rd (so 25 days).

I am aware you cant smoke for 2 months prior to surgery but how soon after surgery can you resume smoking?

I just really need someone to kick me on the a**. I quit 7.5 years ago started to have the occasional smoke while drinking 6 months ago...didn't have any at all for 5 weeks after tt..then life became stressful with all my bills coming in and the last 2 weeks I been smoking about 6 or 7 a day.

I know how bad and the risks of smoking are after this surgery but could really do with some advice. I stopped smoking 2 weeks before my surgery and my surgeon has said to refrain for at least 2 weeks after. Im now post day 6. I am really struggling. Never was a heavy smoker. Only 2/3 a day but with the stress of this week due to the pain iv been in i am desperate to know when i can smoke again. So far i seem to be healing well. Would just like more opinions
