I had a tummy tuck 4 weeks ago, since then I've had Necrosis of the belly button, and now Sepsis or a blood infection that I was treated for overnight in the hospital with antibiotics. My belly button still oozes. I know both of these are uncommon and so uncommon that I can find any info on how I should feel? Im sleeping a lot, I hurt a lot. I dont think its normal
At Week 3 Developed a Seroma, Had Jp Drain in Till Aout 2nd Month, with Lg Output 1000cc & up/24hrs. Never aspirated, but drain out about 3-4 weeks, and now my lower abd has a football sized protruding area, numb& red. Lower incision lines have started to leak fluid. Ps does not seem to be alarmed... I'm worried about sepsis, any ideas
i had full tummy tuck with lipo 2 weeks ago. i developed sepsis and necrosis of the skin and fatty tissue. the doctors decided not to debride the dead tissue but it's quite a large area and feels like it will never heal. it seems to me that the wound is getting larger altough the black tissue has not grown any larger. the wound seems to be opening up more. should i have had more stitches to close this up?
I had abdominoplasty and liposuction approximately 3 months ago. My post-operative course was complicated by a seroma, fat necrosis and, ultimately sepsis. The wound had extensive draining and tunneling which required packing and hyperbaric oxygen treatment for many weeks. The wound is now closed and the area of the wound is puckered. I realize that this can ultimately improve. If the wound does not improve, should the original surgeon correct it free of charge?
How Likely is Sepsis from Tummy Tuck with MR? And What Can Be Done to Prevent It from Happening? I was wondering if there are prevenative steps that can be taken in order to prevent sepsis? For example are antibiotics given during and after surgery and if they are will that ensure not getting it?
