3 days post we found out I had Necrosis which my surgeon removed with a minor surgery. Post that I developed seroma right next to the Necrosis site. Surgeon made an incision and left it open, it leaks fluid and I use a pad to absorb it. Every 3 days my surgeon drains it, cleanes it and leaves it open. Later I also developed Hematoma on my right side of flanks. The doctor made a cut and drained out the blood twice so far and left it open. Am I heading the right direction?
Hello, I recently had a tummy tuck (never smoked in my life) and at 7 days post op I developed a blood filled blister. It was removed while removing my tapes and now looks like a black crusty necrosis. 11 days post op, hte black part was scraped off (debridement I assume). I am using silver sulfadiazine, and my PS is seeing me regularly. How long will this take to heal? Is debridement necessary or can this heal on it's own? Thanks!
I had a full tummy tuck in 8-1-23. In September at follow up I had a seroma he cut open and drained about 2 cups of fluid. In December I saw my Dr. and had fat nercrosis removed in January. He said I had scar tissue left and we would discuss at it at my next appointment. On April 16th he is going to start injections to dissolve the scar tissue. The area is hard, uncomfortable and hurts. I want this removed but am afraid Ill possibly go through all the above again if I have a revision.
I've had 4 c sections and two tummy tucks. After my last baby I now have muscle separation and would like my c section scar revised so I am going to have a mini tummy tuck to repair the muscle separation and scar. After my fourth c section , two of my stitches opened and i developed an infection. The opening took 6 weeks to heal. How likely is this to happen again if I go trough with the tummy tuck? Non smoker, non diabetic, overall good health with only hypertension which is controlled.
I have my full tummy tuck done 5 weeks ago with a vertical scar that doesn't seem to heal. Now it's scabing over, my plastic surgeon said it will fall off by itself but I'm scare of necrosis. I'm seeing him in 2 days and will ask for wound debribement. Should I be worried? It is completely dried and the scab seems to get smaller as the week goes by.
I had a lipoadminoplasty done with diastasis recti repair. Unfortunately I had a large area of fat necrosis and couldnt wear compression garments. 6 months later my stomach has lost all shape and the dr said it's because my fascia stretched out. Is there anything that can be done about it now? If i had worn the compression would that have helped? It's very disappointing esp considering the agony of the necrosis. I am 165 cm and weigh about 68 kg. Thank you.
I was in a bad accident when I was a child. Am I at a higher risk for wound healing or necrosis if I get a tummy tuck since I had prior abdominal surgeries? I have a midline scar in the middle of my abdomen for a bladder repair and I also have three additional incisions that were made for drains that were put in at that time as well. I also had 2 c-sections when I had my children. Thank you so much for your time.
Ive had my straie for about 7 months now and they are thin and still purple but they used to be darker. I want to get a tummy tuck to get rid of most of them but will the thin skin cause necrosis or bad wound healing on the incision? My scars are not healed completely to where its white but they are also not normal average stretch marks so Im wondering what I should do if a tummy tuck will be to risky
