At 6 weeks I looked pretty flat coming out of my binder, but am increasing in a below navel bulge weekly. My doctor told me to wear my binder for an additional month, but every week it has continued to look larger, not smaller. I am also very actice-an avid cross fitter who started back at modified intensity at the 6 week mark. Is this normal swelling for an active individual or could my internal stitches have come undone? Thank you!
I am 38 and have had 4 c-sections. I have a thyroid issue that I take meds for. I work out 3 days a week doing a crossfit bootcamp. I have been on numerous supervised weight loss diets, gyms with paid trainers and excercise programs. My goal isn't so much to lose a massive amount of weight but to feel more comfortable with myself due to the significant amount of skin that hangs over my vagina.
I'm an active 33yo s/p two full term pregnancies, 5'3, 140 lbs. I realize nothing is better than a hands on exam, but after reviewing my photos, what is your initial impression? I feel no separation between my abdominal muscles, but I have a protrusion to my lower abdomen when upright. Abdominoplasty or could I get by with skin excision and maybe lipo? Also, would a scar extend from hip to hip? How would the recovery effect me long term as far as workouts? I CrossFit and powerlift.
