Hello. I had a thigh lift almost 7 months ago and I have had drains put in twice and they fill up past 25 every 5 hours. Only on one leg. I understand its a seroma. Im tired of having bulb drain hanging from me and getting caught on things and hiding under clothes which is hard to do. What are the solutions other than manual aspiration which didnt work either? Its isnt capsulized. I hope someone has a solution bc I cant live with this much longer. :-(
After putting some pressure On It noticed my compression at drain site was wet took compression off to look at lump it was smaller so I put firmer pressure on it with a towel and felt it pop the drain bulb instantly filled up this has happened a few times since putting pressure on it more fluid releases. If I leave it alone will it eventually absorb or be pulled out by the drain? The pocket as I call it seems to keep filling Some times when I put pressure I get some bloody looking fluid too.
Yesterday I sat at the table preparing dinner kinda tilted back with my legs up. since then I feel like my thigh Is a bit more swollen near incision particularly on the right side and feels a little more tender then left. I still have my drains & stitches. I had my 10 day follow up appt all looked good. I was putting to much fluid out to remove drains and to swollen to take stitches out. I go back Thursday morning. Sitting could I have done something or just irritated it???
2 weeks ago today I had a thigh, butt and arm lift. I have would separation on the incision in multiple areas. I have 2 drains and one is barely draining anything and is ready to come out. Of course the one that pulled out is the one that has been draining high amounts, maybe 80 per day. If they take this out I feel like I'm almost guaranteeing myself another surgery because of the fluid. What can they do to avoid this?
