Ive had a session done before and can not recall if this happened or not. But, last week (7 days ago) I had my hands lasered. I kept them bandaged for about 3 days, taking them off to breath a bit during the day but mostly keeping them bandage with aquafor. The swelling started the following day, and went away mostly in 3ish days. I took the bandage off and sleeped without it from that point forward. Now, it swelled up again today and Im getting worried. My blisters are minimal.
I got this 10 years ago. It's a constant source of irritation for me. The lines never stopped with the swelling so if you rub your hand over it, you can feel it raised up. It's also never stopped itching. It's gotten to the point I've ripped my skin up & caused bleeding from scratching. My Dr gave me some cream & I take benedryl, but it's not helping anymore. I think it's an allergic reaction. Does insurance (more specifically tricare/health net) cover some type of removal for this purpose?
I had a severe systemic reaction: hives along with swelling of upper lip after laser tattoo removal sessions. I have since stopped therapy and had to take steroids for a few months. What caused this reaction? I did not have a reaction to the initial placement of the tattoo. Is it possible to be allergic to the laser treatment itself? Am I ok to have another tattoo done since I reacted to the laser? Am I forever allergic to any kind of laser treatment or procedure and or tattoo placement
I had a fourth removal treatment 6 days ago and I didn't have any bleeding, but did have slight bruising/ swelling. Almost all scabs have disappeared by now, but there are still little dark red dots everywhere. I feel they were much brighter red the first day, but considering this has been almost a week. Should I be worried that I still see them? The tattoo is on my ankle and had a lot of color, so I know it will take a while, but I don't think I had these issues with the other sessions.
I did laser tattoo removal on the back of my neck for 6 months & had my lymph nodes swell up the size of a golf ball. Now four months later I have a mass on my lymph node on my throat that is cancer. I believe it was caused from the laser tattoo removal treatment. What do you think?
I have had three tattoo removal sessions in 6 week intervals. The first two were performed by the same person, they went relatively fast giving two passes with roughly 6000 pulses. I did experience a lot of swelling and some blistering that went away in about five days. A different professional performed my third session 2 days ago, doing one pass & 14000 pulses. My arm is severely swollen, covered in blisters, and I am forming blood spots under my tricep.
I had a tattoo removal session with a q switched laser 8 weeks ago. 6 weeks ago I developed hives/swelling in lips and eyes lids and was put on steriods for 3 weeks. Now I am only on antihistamines 2 times a day bit I still have hives that come and go on my tattooed wrist, other arm and sometimes torso. My skin has been itchy as well for the past three weeks. Will this every go away? How much longer will this go on for? My GP doesn't seem to know anything about why I am experiencing this?
1st session was fine only worked the black ink The 2nd and 3rd I did the red ink.1 week after my 2nd and 3rd treatment I broke out in hives all over my body, had swelling of my eyes and lips. I went to the ER-never had breathing problems and put on steroids, for 2+ weeks. I am now too scared to continue with treatment. Prior to laser treatment I had never had an allergic reaction to any of my tattoos during or after placement. Why is this happening?
