What is your opinion on what I could do since my skin is responding poorly to allergy treatments? Shall I just keep the tattoo that is causing the allergy? I so fear the risk of it getting reinfected every time it hardens. In just over a month, the allergic keloid-tattoo has been infected twice as it becomes too crusty and cracks on its own without me scratching it or anything like that. What do I do now since it cannot be safely lasered nor surgically removed? Please help me. Thank you.
I got sent to the medical doctor, he immediately popped them and cleaned it, then dressed it up. Question will this affect the removal? reasons not to pop the blisters is to protect the wound from infection. he popped it in a sterile environment and dressed it up.. also i read to let the area have as much open air as possible, but i was told by the doctor to let the dressing stay and it would heal much faster. I am seriously at loss now.
I went to get a laser session to remove my tattoo a few days ago. The dermatologist used an Nd-YAG laser with multiple (I think 7) intensities on the same day. He gave me an antibiotic cream to apply and some bandages. A few days later, the redness subsided but I was left with a large patch of yellow on my chest. Is this a sign of infection or will it fade away eventually?
I have a full sleeve, full chest piece, half a back piece, and a stomach piece, and some of those are cover-ups. All tattoos were fine afterward apart from once, I was in the hospital in so much pain the next day, I think it was infected, they said tendinitis. I had a laser test patch 9 months ago, no redness, no blisters, nothing, it faded the ink, but after 6 days, I was sick for 2 weeks (cold/flu). Can I use lasers?
I received the treatment on Monday. Went back Wednesday to get the blisters lanced and have continued to change out and wear bandages with antibiotic and gauze until today, Sunday. My Dr. told me to keep it bandaged, covered and continue using a compressor sock until it has healed. Nothing has scabbed over - and I wonder if that is because I am keeping everything covered and moist. I also don't want to risk infection because the blister skin is very thin.
It was my first session. My dermatologist said it wasnt badly infected & just gave me antibiotic ointment to use on it (Mupirocin) & oral antibiotics as well but said nothing else. Do I keep it bandaged & what about the scarring? Is there anything else I need to know or do? Can I workout? It is located above my private area.
I had 2 different providers for each tattoo removal. I had my first tattoo removal with Q-switch laser on October 27th 2017. I found another provider that was cheaper and use PicoSure and I decided to switch. I had my second session on March 15th 2018. I don't have any problem with blisters or infection since the first session. I keep applying Aquaphor about 3-4 times a day. I see my tattoo now is getting more visible as if it was new and fresh instead of fading. Is this normal and common?
Please may I have advice what to do. My clinic is closed over the weekend - I had my arm tattoo lasered for the first time today and it quickly developed a horrible HUGE blister which has popped in my sleep and woke me up. I'm guessing I rolled on it.. the clinician told me to keep my dressing on for 48 hours but, it's absolutely soaking in water from the blister I have removed it. What do I do about after care now?! Would a dressing and bandage be ok? I'm worried about infection risk. Thanks
