What to do with this infected tattoo removal procedure? (photo)

It was my first session. My dermatologist said it wasn’t badly infected & just gave me antibiotic ointment to use on it (Mupirocin) & oral antibiotics as well but said nothing else. Do I keep it bandaged & what about the scarring? Is there anything else I need to know or do? Can I workout? It is located above my private area.

I do not believe there is an allergic reaction. its hard to tell from the picture (too dark). from what i see there may be some scarring occurring. you should definitely go back and discuss with the physician supervising your treatments. he must re-evaluate factors such as skin type, laser ...
