I got sent to the medical doctor, he immediately popped them and cleaned it, then dressed it up. Question will this affect the removal? reasons not to pop the blisters is to protect the wound from infection. he popped it in a sterile environment and dressed it up.. also i read to let the area have as much open air as possible, but i was told by the doctor to let the dressing stay and it would heal much faster. I am seriously at loss now.

Answer: Do not pop the blister! If this happens again do not open the blister! The fluid in the blister is sterile and it is protecting the injured skin underneath. If the pressure is getting to much the fluid can be drained with a needle and a pressure bandage applied. It is not uncommon to have a blister after tattoo removal and doesn't mean you had a bad treatment. Continue to keep it moist and covered. Follow up with your treating physician with any signs of infection.

Answer: Tattoo Removal Blisters Blisters are common after laser treatment for tattoo removal. You don't have to pop the blisters. Some blisters can be problems though so it becomes easier to pop them. There is nothing wrong with popping them, just make sure you wash the area daily with soap and water and apply ointment (Aquaphor, neosporin, A&D, etc.) two to three times a day to keep the area moist and protected. It won't get infected and it will heal just fine and there will be no problem with the tattoo removal.
