I had a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and nasal valve implants on Dec 19th of 2018 for severe snoring. I am 3 weeks post op and am still snoring a lot. I would like to know how long before I know if this surgery worked or if I need to go back to my ENT for plan B to help with snoring. Thank you so much!
My boyfriend had surgery to correct his deviated septum. It's been about 6 months since surgery and his snoring is very slightly lessened. His breathing is much better but he still has a very loud snore. Are there any products that can help this? We were thinking about doing an anti snore chin strap, but are afraid of the potential negatives that can have. We've tried Neti pots, he uses Flounase every day, and we've tried other basic solutions. Please help!
In June 2012 I had a turbinate reduction, since then I have started snoring considerably more than before the surgery. I had an MRI done last week and my general Dr said I needed to see my ENT again due to a deviated septum. Would/Could that surgery cause a deviated septum or could it cause it to worsen or cause snoring? Is a deviated septum something that can worsen with time on its own?
I had septoplasty 3 days ago. I know coughing is common with this surgery and thinking maybe because they also had issues getting the tube down so may be added irritation. My coughing has been constant for 3 days straight similar to how I feel when I have strep throat. But I was told if I snore normally that it will be increased during this time. After the healing process will my snoring most likely go away? This made me nervous to hear since I was hoping it would be resolved with this surgery.
My nose has always been on the wider side. Its very short, looks very triangular from the side, and looks unsymmetrical from the front. I often have snoring problems when I sleep. Could this be a deviated septum? What type of surgery would help my nose?
