I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction in March 2024 (writing this in October 2024). The surgeon made my nasal cavity so wide that the appearance of my nose has drastically changed. The tip/base of the nose is now much wider and flatter, and its causing me a lot of insecurity. Is there hope that a revision surgery could fix this issue and make the nose look closer to the pre-op appearance? Ive included 2 before and 2 after pictures.
Hi, I had my first Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty back in 2003, but my nose slowly became crooked again bt I had my bridge decreased alsoI had a revision Septoplasty this past January. It included a nostril graft because it was pinched, release of scar tissue and also cartilage grafts on my bridge since I didn't have much of one left. The surgery was almost 5 hours to fix the structure and breathing. There is still some swelling left on my left side. Do I need to wait the full year?
I had a septoplasty done to help my breathing and it was unsuccessful the first time. Basically the septum started moving to one side and looked much worse than before the surgery. I had a revision surgery with a different doctor and it went well. My nose doesn't have the flexibility it once did on one side due to the spreader grafts but oh well. I'm still having sharp, wincing pains on septum if I move my nose in certain positions while eating.. or if i sneeze or cough. HELP!!!
I had sinus surgery including a septoplasty, turbinate reduction and removal of polyps from sinuses. My nose after the surgery is horrible looking. It looks wide, flat and is shorter. I even have a bump on my profile now. I am very upset about how I look. I never wanted a nose job, but now I do just to get back my original nose. I often cry about how I look. What did the surgeon do to me? And how do I get my nose back?
I had sinus surgery including a septoplasty for deviated septum, turbinate reduction and removal of polyps from sinuses. My nose after the surgery is horrible-looking. It looks wide, flat and is shorter. I even have a bump on my profile now. I am very upset about I look. I often cry. How do I get my nose back? I am including before and after photos again. Last time RealSelf did not post them.
I have had two septoplastys. same surgeon. Both times, they have left my nose looking crooked and its hard to breathe. the nostril is colapsed on the right side. The first month I can breathe normal and it looks straight But then it colapses.. Possibly getting a third in Korea but I am wondering how successful It will be, and if they could revise my dorsal hump as well.. I am unsure if I have enough septal cartilage left, are there any procedures that can fix this problem?
Hi, Im a 30 year old male interested in septo rhino revision. When I breathe in my nose only one nostril collapses. Its hard for me to breathe with my nose at all. My nose also appears curved. I would like help/opinions if this could be helped. Oh ya. And the inside of my nose (the septum) is super curved. Thank you in advance.
I got a septoplasty back in June. Doctors said it was successful and that I should be able to breath normally. It went well weeks post-op but then I got what I thought was a cold. And I havent been breathing normally since. I noticed my left nostril was smaller than my right. And now looking it at it is completely blocked by the septum. So my septoplasty not only failed but also made it worse. I REALLY would rather not go through the surgery again, especially after it failed. What do I do?
I had a deviated septum done on May 22, 2018. I was told by my surgeon that I would still have difficulty breathing due to allergies. I thought that getting the surgery it would correct this. Did she just lie because it wasn't done properly? She was disappointed in herself because she didn't remove more of the bulbous tip. Should I see another specialist for a second consultation?. I just want to breathe better.
