Hi I had a septoplasty performed which i dont believe i needed. However now im very unhappy with my nose. One its way larger and wider but is certainly straight from the side profile. I have a protruding columnella? On one side of the tip made worse by what looks like a retraction of the alar one side.Is it worth trying to fix either? Is it too risky? Can a small adjustment be made versus a large operation? Mainly its the shape of my nose when seen from the front that I do not like. Thanks!
I had a septoplasty and it appears there is a bony protrusion in the back of the nasal cavity extending off the nasal sidewall on the Left side. Something feels different on the left side in a negative way that is not easy to explain but Im wondering if this should be removed or if it is even possible?
I understand the procedure is not cosmetic but I feel like this could be an exception. My septum protrudes at the bottom of my right nostril, giving the appearance of it being much smaller than the left. Will septoplasty aid in fixing this to a degree (getting rid of the protruding septum)
I had a septorhinoplasty procedure performed on 22/07. After the operation, my septum appeared to be significantly straightened and my nostrils equal. However, while My nose is still straight, my nostrils appear to be different now and the septum is sticking out from where it had been straightened. I don't know if this always was the case but disguised by blood or whether me trying to clean my nose has ruined the result. My appointment is in 3 days with my surgeon, is there anything I should do?
A toddler threw an iphone at my face years ago, and after finally seeing an ENT, he said that I needed to have a septoplasty. I had a septoplasty a couple months ago, and while my breathing is slightly better, my nose is uneven. The right side protrudes while the left side slants in. There is also something that feels like bone blocking the airway on the left side. When I stick my finger up it, I always hit this bone. Do I need a septoplasty or can it be fixed without surgery?
I have every symptom of a deviated septum. I sleep on one side, get nosebleeds, minor sinus infections, and I even have a small callus in my nose where the cartilage protrudes. However, most of the visible deviation is just in the size of my nostrils. I am fed up with daily discomfort, but I have student insurance with United healthcare. I can pay no more than $9,000 for the procedure out-of-pocket. How can I cut costs and still get good results from a good doctor?
Hello. I have minor bent nasal septum. I have spoken to a surgeon on my area he has recommended septoplasty. Due to me having a bit of a protruding dorsal hump I have asked for him to combine this with rhinoplasty at the same time. All I want is my nose refined and not as harsh. I am petrified my nose will be ruined from this procedure. What kind of results could I expect and do you think it is worth the risk of surgery? I do not have breathing problems but HATE my dorsal hump with a passion.
