im 8 months post op... Got my huge bump removed and tip lifted.....overall happy by theres this bony deviation which looks bad on certain lighting...I want to know if strong pressure or massage can smoothen this bump. I asked my surgeon for a revision but he said it looks fine :/ i dont understand... Also its the *bony* part of the nose, so is there any point of massaging the spot? Also why doesnt my surgeon want to do a minor revision? Am I overthinking??
I got a rhinoplasty a few years ago to straighten my nose and fix a deviated septum. After healing I was left with a hard nose bump with a white color (first 3 photos) It bothered me and appeared crooked from a front view, so I got a nasal rasping surgery to remove it. I went with a different surgeon for this 2nd surgery. I am now 3 weeks post nasal rasping and the bump is still present and may even be larger (last 3 photos). Is still white & hard but also seems puffy. What could this bump be??
I had a rhinoplasty to remove the hump on my nose over a year ago and the bump remained slightly so my doctor went back in to rasp under general anesthesia and now Im 3 months post-op and the bump looks bigger than it was before rasping. I thought by now, with my thin skin, the swelling would have gone down but is this permanent scarring? How can I get it to go away? I was recommended to not get steroid injectionsanything else work? Appreciate your help!
Had a primary septorhinoplasty to straighten, create more symmetry and reduce the bump. Had a secondary a year later to even the tip points. Five years later and the tip of my nose looks twisted with one nostril slightly bowed and the other collapsed. When I spoke to my surgeon, he favored restylane to create an illusion of symmetry. Is this a viable alternative? Given how I healed after the first surgeries, is it realistic for me to expect improvement with a 3rd?
Hi <3 I did a primary rhinoplasty in 2017. I'd like to refine my tip. I've been told I have thick skin (middle eastern). I'd like to shave down the side and bring down the root of the nose and also get more definition on tip. What's possible here? Also I feel some days my nose is more swollen. I have a large bump (I think scar tissue) inside nostril as well. Would love advice on what to do to achieve my desired result (defined tip and shave down bridge of nose for more curved side profile).
I have broken my nose 3x. This has left me with a significant bump on the bridge of my nose. It has also made my nose almost longer? My nose is also very bulbous. I was wondering if rhinoplasty can fix the extent of my bulbousity and the significant bump. I was also wondering if a rhinoplasty can shorten my nose.
Many yrs ago had a rhino get rid of a small bump from after an injury. The dr went grossly over what he was supposed to do and got rid of these parts that used to make my nose wider and softer. He made it higher and so much thinner and I just want my eye bones and side bones or whatevr these parts are back.I dont know how2 explain this.Ive tried and it seems as if Im not conveying my goal properly when I discuss this. How do we get these back and how do I convey this to doctors? Please advise!
Hello, I had a rhinoplasty done in Dec 2023. Im now 11 months post op but my bridge is not straight like I wanted. The tip has a bump (button) because of its projection. My surgeon offered to deproject my nose in office under local. Is that safe?
I had a revision rhinoplasty a decade ago which included extensive grafting from my septum to rebuild my nose. Large spreader grafts were sown in both sides, a columella strut graft and tip grafts were added too. 2 weeks ago someone bumped into my nose quite hard. It hurt, a numb sensation. My nose did not bleed and no significant external swelling was apparent. My breathing seemed off though and my nose skin looked a little sore. How likely is damage and what steps to take next?
Hi, I use to have a crooked nose with a bump, my surgeon performed a Septorhinoplasty on me (as I had a deviated septum also) apparently there was a complication that left me with a very wide bridge. He reshaped the top of my nose but it left it look bulbous. Can anything be done to improve the width of the bridge and (or) smaller tip? Also, I think I have thick skin on the tip, thanks
