I have several small and big red acne (10-14) over my face. using below medicines, 1) Clindamycin/Benzoyl peroxide cream (in morning) 2) 15% Azleaic acid, Finacea (in morning & evening) 3) Tretinoin (0.05%) (in evening) 4) Minocyline tablets (2 times a day). I've been following the above routine for the last 3 weeks but have had no improvement yet. It caused big dark red patches over the spots on my face. So, I started using fresh aloe vera and honey over my face to bring back the skin to normal. Is this ok?
This question is concerning body acne on the back, chest, and shoulders. My current routine is using a benzol peroxide foaming wash called PanOxyl and a light body lotion on my back, chest, and shoulders. I was wondering if it would be okay to use retin-A gel after? And do I use it to cover the entire affected areas or as a spot treatment? Lastly, is it okay to use a body lotion after using the wash?
My dermatologist told me to use 5% benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin at night and then use tretinoin in the morning, but the directions told me to use tretinoin at night. Should I stick with what my dermatologist said or should I maybe swap the prescriptions and use the benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin in the morning and tretinoin at night?
I did an at home glycolic chemical peel at 30% for 4 minutes and 30 seconds last night. I have one dark mark on the side of my face but it doesn't hurt compared to when I applied to peel. After the peel I just used a regular moisturiser. But is it safe to use Retin-A (0.1%), or Benzoyl Peroxide? I also haven't gone out anywhere because I'm on break. But when I do go out I apply a high SPF sunblock. Also, what is the recovery time for these peels? My face is currently red and flaking .
I have read that Retina A (or Stieva A) should not be mixed with Benzoyl Peroxide. If I was to use Retina A at night and Benzoyl Peroxide in the morning, will this be a mistake? Also, concerning the dry and flaky skin, is it a bad idea to use a scrub to remove them?
