Thanks for your question. You will probably do fine using both the benzoyl peroxide/glycolic acid serum in the mornings in addition to your nightly tretinoin. If you are very tolerant of the tretinoin and you don't get peeling or redness or sensitivity, you can go ahead and start the morning serum and see how it goes. If you live in a very dry climate without a lot of humidity, you might want to start slower and use the morning serum every other day or every third day and gradually build up to daily use. Always use a good quality sunscreen whether you spend a lot of time outside or not - those products can increase your sun sensitivity. If you tan or burn the face, you'll be undoing the good effects of the tretinoin as far as treating fine lines, sun damage and brown spots. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Yes azelaic acid can be used in the morning and tretinoin cream at night, however, a common side effect of both medications is dryness, irritation, peeling, etc. I recommend consulting with your dermatologist regarding any further questions and concerns. Take care...
Thank you for your question. Tretinoin cream works well for fine lines and unfortunately not as effective for deep wrinkles. In some cases, injectable fillers or neurotoxins is more effective for deeper wrinkles. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist or plastic...
No, you shouldn't have to wait so long before applying the tretinoin. As a general rule when layering products you want to allow each product to dry before applying the next product. So as soon as the toner is dry you should be fine to apply your tretinoin.
Thank you for your question. Acne treatments vary on the type of acne present, such as inflammatory lesions (red bumps) or comedones (whiteheads and blackheads). Tretinoin is a topical retinoid that gently exfoliates the skin removing comedones, and topical antibiotics, such as clindamycin, is...
You can use BP in the morning and Retin-A at night if you find you are able to tolerate that. Side effects of both include dryness and irritation so I would discuss your plan with your dermatologist who may have you alternate nightly or morning usage to find what your skin responds best to...
You can use chemical sunscreens while using tretinoin at night. Chemical sunscreens can cause irritation for sensitive skin, so I would recommend patch testing a bit of your chemical sunscreen before applying it to your whole face to see if you experience any adverse effects. If you do...
