I am currently six months applying Retin A daily (31, male). I live in Ireland in a town where it's prety rare to see the sun; it is always cloudy and rainy. I work inside basically from dark to dark, as days are pretty short in the winter now. My question is do I need to wear sunscreen every day, even though there's no sign of the sun and I am inside? To give you a better picture of the weather, the sun does not cast shadows.
I'm in my 30s, and 6 months ago I began using a tretinoin-hydroquinone cream, which has done wonders for the acne but has left my skin dry and sensitive. I still use it as a spot treatment, but I haven't used it on my cheeks in 2 weeks but they are still dry and sensitive to most products. How long does sensitivity last after stopping treatment, and is it normal for skin to be so dry weeks after stopping? I just want to know if this will improve. It seems like my skin should have adjusted by now.
Hi, I have been using retin A for the last 6 months. I know that inflammation is required for the body to heal itself. So is inflammation required in the retin A mechanism to thicken the dermis? Or does retin A simply signal the body to produce a more youthful form of collagen without the use of inflammation? Thanks
