How long does skin sensitivity last after stopping Retin-A?

kyla92
I'm in my 30s, and 6 months ago I began using a tretinoin-hydroquinone cream, which has done wonders for the acne but has left my skin dry and sensitive. I still use it as a spot treatment, but I haven't used it on my cheeks in 2 weeks but they are still dry and sensitive to most products. How long does sensitivity last after stopping treatment, and is it normal for skin to be so dry weeks after stopping? I just want to know if this will improve. It seems like my skin should have adjusted by now.
