During the procedure I was told that my skin wasn't responding as expected.. No reaction until the highest setting. There still isn't bruising, but there is redness and a lot of swelling. Is this normal? Did I make my scars worse permanently? When can I expect results?
Ive had 2 rounds of pulsed dye laser for a mole removal scar that wasnt fading on my face. The first was around 18 months after my mole removal, and the second at 21 months. Its now coming up to 7 months after my first PDL, and 3 months after my second; although I can see some change/fading Im still yet to see anything dramatic. My scar also tends to flare up when I get warm - such as doing excercise. I was told the PDL was shrink/destroy blood vessels. Will I see any further fading?
I have had several pulsed dye/Excel V treatments done over a couple of years. During the last pulsed dye treatment, I had one area that severely bruised/scabbed (see picture). A few months after that, I noticed two areas in the same vicinity (see picture) that appear to be pick scars/discolored. My provider did not seem to think these were caused by laser and suggested Fraxel to resolve. I am cuious to hear other opinions about possible cause/treatment. Currently trying microneedling.
I Recently got PDL treatment on a facial port wine. It has been nearly three weeks and although all of my scabs have come away I have not seen significant results. How long is the recovery time for the results to show. I understand it takes more than one session for some cases.
I had laser treatment for a red mark on my face about 2 weeks ago. I had it done last year and it worked very well but came back again so my doctor did it again but stronger. I bruised pretty badly (2 weeks) and a scab formed. The scab fell off on its own leaving a red mark behind, the skin around it is light pink - light brown. It looks very similar to how it looked before. Last time he told me when I should expect results but he didn't this time around. When should I see the final result?
I got PDL laser on my face (cheeks only) for redness. This was my second session and the intensity was increased. It's been 2 weeks and my cheeks have only gotten more red then before. I am worried the increase in power caused permanent worse redness in my cheeks being that it's been almost 2 weeks and i have not seen any results when the first treatment went well and saw results in just a couple of days. I wake up more red than ever before. Did something go wrong?
I just had Pulse Dye Laser to remove some spider veins on my chin and around my nose. I have considerable bruising; it has gone from bright purple to a red-purple. I leave for a ski vacation and was wondering what I need to do to protect my skin. I have been applying polysporin. What else could I be doing and how long will the bruising last? My girls are embarrassed to be seen with me!
The doctor zapped a broken capillary right under my eye several times. The broken capillary was improved a little but it's still there. We're 2 months post procedure and I still have swelling under that one eye. Is there anything I can do to help remove the swelling at this point? I'm very worried it's permanent. I wish I understood the mechanics of what the laser actually did there. It's a very thin-skinned spot. There were no blisters at the time of treatment.
I started receiving PDL treatments last October for rosacea and have had 5 treatments spaced out over 4-5 weeks. I have one more treatment scheduled in April. I've started to see results but there is certainly some redness that remains on my checks. What really happens during the healing process after PDL? Is it common to see gradual improvement over time?
