The eyelid height is essentially the same as before the surgery, and the contour is off as well. While I am not happy with the eyelid shape and height, my main concern is that there is still swelling on the upper eyelid. Also, even by just lightly touching my upper eyelid, it becomes red. I've seen multiple physicians, but nobody seems to know exactly what's wrong. On a side note, I do have some blepharitis (probably due to demodex) which I treat with tea tree eyelid wipes.
I had ptosis correction about three weeks ago and my right eye is much more swollen than my left. Both eyes were operated on because my surgeon said that there might be asymmetry of he if operated on one. Now I feel like I have ptosis on my right eye, when i initially came in for my left. is this normal? Should I be concerned? Because my left eye is healing fine, but my right eye seems like it's not getting any better.
I had ptosis surgery in Late nov 2017 yet my eyelid still appears swollen. I asked my surgeon and he recommended Dermatix silicone gel which made the swelling even worse. The swelling is now back to how it was before I used the gel. Will this swelling heal over time or would something like a cold compress help? Aside from this I am happy with the surgery as it has relieved the uncomfortable, tired feeling I used to always have.
I had ptosis and upper blepharoplasty 3 weeks ago and I am concerned I am still swollen, my lids feel tight and still numb almost like some pins pricking feelings. When I open my lids all the way it hurts. My eyes feel sore and tired. I am also concerned about the scaring. Is this normal?
After ptosis surgery one eyelid is still swollen so I am waiting for it to raise more. However the other eye seems overcorrected. In the AM you can see the white of my eye on the top. Then it relaxes throughout the day and looks more normal. My dr says it looks fine but he didn't see me in the AM. He says to wait 2 more weeks before we discuss massage, so that the other eye raise up more. At that point I will be about 4 weeks post op. Is that too late for massage to have any real benefits?
I always had ptosis in my left eyelid. It wasnt always noticeable. Unless when i got tired it was very visible. The days after my surgery my eyelid was always droopy. At first i tought it was due to the stitches and swolllen eye. Now 14 days later (4 days after removing stitches my eye is still droopy. Im getting worried now. When at first it was only droopy when i was tired now i always have it. When i ask People They say my eye isnt swolllen anymore. So the eyelid should be good now
