I had an unsuccessful levator advancement surgery 4 weeks ago and this surgery did not improve my lid at all and my lid is as droopy as before. Surgeon wanted to do revision now because most of the swelling has gone down. Should I get revision now before a lot of scar tissue start forming or should I wait 3 to 6 months to heal completely first then do revision?
My upper left eyelid has begun to droop over the past couple years, leaving my eyes looking asymmetrical, especially with my eyelashes growing forward/downward rather then curling up like my right eye. It's been ever so slightly swollen over the years and gets worse when tired. Also my left eye has been very dry for a while now I'm too undergo jaw surgery in roughly 2 years as the left side of my jaw is larger causing TMJ issues including left sided headaches over the eye and cheek pain.
Hi I had second ptosis surgery 2 weeks ago in my left eye. As I wasn't able to go to the check up to remove stitches I let someone else remove them. My doc can't receive my again before 3rd January. At this moment Im concerned as I dont see any difference to before and when stitches were in. It's still as low. See pics which stitches and closed without. Is there still swelling? Is it due to the scare that is still visible ?
I am two weeks post my second congenital ptosis surgery. Surgeon used whitnalls ligament suspension. It was slightly overcorrected post surgery(has gotten a bit better, can more fully close eye now) I followed up with my doc and he implemented massage to try for a while and he doesnt want to do anything else about it yet. I still have puffiness and swelling by the eyelashes. Is there anything else Ican do about that? And do you think it looks severely over corrected? Trying to stay open minded
I got my eyelids done 2 months ago to make my eyes look bigger and now they look uneven. Do you think that it will be like this permanently? Will it be even after six to twelves month. My doctor told me that they will be even after the swelling go down, but there would be 10 - 20% chance that he might have to fix the higher one. Is 10% to 20% high chance? Do you think it will be alright after six months. I appreciate any opinions. Thank you so much
Hi, I had ptosis blepharoplasty surgery 11 days ago and Im not seeing an improvement in my right eye lid level. My doctor said the muscle was fatty which can limit the result. Will I be able to improve my eye level any more? Has the surgery failed? Ive attached a before photo, the day after operation swelling and my eye lid level now.
I had ptosis repair 9 days ago. The stitches were placed underneath the eyelid. A day after surgery I had minimal swelling and then as days went on my eye seemed to look smaller and smaller and now on day 9 I am feeling very depressed that I will need a revision. I know it may be too early but I thought I should see some improvement by now and I just don't. My eye is also feeling very sore and scratchy. I am using sterile lubricating drops often. I see my surgeon tomorrow
