After ptosis surgery one eyelid is still swollen so I am waiting for it to raise more. However the other eye seems overcorrected. In the AM you can see the white of my eye on the top. Then it relaxes throughout the day and looks more normal. My dr says it looks fine but he didn't see me in the AM. He says to wait 2 more weeks before we discuss massage, so that the other eye raise up more. At that point I will be about 4 weeks post op. Is that too late for massage to have any real benefits?
I am two weeks post my second congenital ptosis surgery. Surgeon used whitnalls ligament suspension. It was slightly overcorrected post surgery(has gotten a bit better, can more fully close eye now) I followed up with my doc and he implemented massage to try for a while and he doesnt want to do anything else about it yet. I still have puffiness and swelling by the eyelashes. Is there anything else Ican do about that? And do you think it looks severely over corrected? Trying to stay open minded
I had my second ptosis surgery 8 days ago - my first surgery made no difference to the eye and it dropped again, this surgery the eyelid has been stitched much tighter by my surgeon and has resulted in an over correction. The surgeon mentioned at the time it was better to over correct as he believed the lid would relax and drop. I'm very concerned as the eye looks awful and is hung up when I look down.
Over 10 years ago I had a ptosis repair done for a droopy eyelid. On my initial surgery my eyelid was overcorrected causing severe dry eye that was very painful. I had an additional two surgeries, the dry eye was corrected but my eyelid is still peaked and looks very different from the other eye. Will massaging my eyelid multiple times a day at the area that is peaked help lower the eyelid ?
I did a MMCR surgery (internal resection of muller muscle by 7mm) causing an elevation of about 2mm from top right of right eye My eye still droops. This is because of how my eyebrows operateI didnt need MMCR. Now my eyelid is simply larger and contour is off. I would like this reversed/revised to back to original position. Would like to lower upper right eyelid from right side by about 1.5mm. Can this be done from massages? Do I need another surgery? What kind? Thanks!
