I had three treatments at a respectable place with a doctor using PicoSure and saw zero improvement. Each time the doctor increased the fluency and lowered the spot size. In your experience have you seen better results with PicoWay than with PicoSure in treating CALMs?
I had a second treatment of Picosure for a cafe au lait macule on my face. The end point of the procedure, particularly the frosting look was present for less than a minute. Is this normal? Also, the doctor only did one pass on the CALM. Im hesitant to return to this place since my birthmark did not respond to the first treatment of Picosure. How long does the frosting supposedly last? Is this a tell-tale sign that the treatment will be effective?
My doctor treated me with both the Medlite C6 and Picosure. With both treatments my CALM disappeared within one week, but then reappeared back to its original color. Are q switch lasers better than Pico lasers for CALM? Please advise. Thank you!!
I was treated with Picosure for a cafe au lait macule on my face. I have type 2 skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale. The dermatologist passed the laser on my CALM once at 60 pulses, with a spot size of 2.9 mm, and a fluence of 3.03. The area turned coffee brown and the top layer flaked off. The CALM disappeared, but reappeared a week later. Is the doctor correct in only doing one pass on the CALM? I do not readily see results, and am hesitant of going back to the same place.
Besides the obvious, which would be significant lightninghow will I know if the Picosure Focus treatment is effective? I am wondering if I have a treatment resistant CALM. I was first treated with Nd:Yag (532nm), but after a week my CALM reappeared. My second treatment involved the Picosure Focus. I was hopeful since the top layer of skin flaked off and revealed lighter skin for 10 days. However, it is past two weeks of my post treatment and the CALM is its original color. Please advise.
I was just treated with PicoSure for a cafe au Lait macule on my face. I am applying Aquaphor and sunscreen every two hours. Other than slight redness what will I expect? Will a blister/scab form? What does the healing process look like with PicoSure?
