After 2 months, my scar is raised in several spots and still very tender. I had a skin reaction to the stitches, but it is still uncomfortable even after the scabbing has gone away.
I had two superficial spreading melanomas removed--one from my right upper back and one on my right upper abdomen. My primary exercise, sport, and hobby (for lack of a better term) is powerlifting. How long after the sutures are removed can I get back into the gym and go full-strength? Because I think it's a factor, I'll tell you that I'm a 50 year old male, competing in the Master's division.
Dermatologist took biopsy today but won't have results until next week. Just wanted to know if I should be concerned this is cancerous. Next week seems so far away.
I got my mole on my abdomen removed about a year ago. It was for cosmetic reasons. My doctor called me and told me they lost the sample and were unable to check it for cancerous cells. My mole grew back and I sent him a picture and he said it looks fine. Since I got my mole removed I had a dull ache around the area I got it removed. I now have a white dot an inch away from my mole that aches and I pushed on it and it feels like a lump and is sore. What could it be an inch away from my mole.
