After TCA cross procedure I got bigger scars: -on a couple of boxcar scars that were close to each other now are one big scar (circled in blue). -there were two small ice pick scars (circled in yellow) and after the procedure I got a huge dent. Was better after scab fell off but now red and dented. -the scar circled in green was a super ice pick scar that is now a boxcar. I was recomended spot treatment of CO2 on these 3 scars. What is your professional recommendation and thoughts on this?
Have these scars that laser just doesn't fix I went to the dermatologist but offered microneedlings and I'm trying to avoid that method I see good reviews but a lot of bad I understand all skin types are different with results But TCA cross is what I'd like to go with Would that method be good to these ice and box scars?
Hi all, My face is peppered in these tiny ice pick scars. Is TCA cross likely to help fill them in or only make the problem worse? If not, what treatments would this respond to? What lasers might be the most efficacious (fraxel, picosure)? I have ethnic skin (multiracial). Lastly, with today's technology, how much can I expect this to improve percentage-wise? 50%? 80%? Thanks a lot.
I had TCA Cross 100% done Dec 2017 and have seen some improvement, scars are more shallow but they are still there. I have gone back to using Clindamycin gel in the daytime and Tretinoin cream 0.1 at night 2 weeks after scabs fell off. My skin sloughs off every 2-3 days, and I am not sure if that is interfering with the healing process. Will a series of Glycolic Acid 70% peels help? It will be difficult for me to take multiple days off work so would need something that will have a quicker recovery time.
I have permanently opened pores and bunches up lines on cheeks since childhood. Possibly Atrophoderma Vermiculatum? I've always had huge pores, I have (Ehlers Danlos) so maybe thats why. My right cheek has huge open pores and weird bunched up horizontal lines that look like tiny wrinkles. My left cheek has the same but I did get acne there in my 20's that turned into ice pick scars. I was wondering if this looks like Atrophoderma vermiculatum? Anything that may help make the pores look not so prominent, maybe Accutane? I tried topical tretinoin and it didn't help. Could I do TCA Cross for the icepick scars?
I treated my active acne with tretinoin 0.5%, but I'm left with these scars. I don't have any active acne at the moment and no blackheads. The scars improved a bit with the use of tretinoin, but they don't soften any further. I'd like to know if a TCA cross peel or microneedling is suitable for my type of scars. As I'm a first time TCA user I'd like to ask what percentage TCA best for this method on my scars? I won't be going for a full TCA-peel. Or will microneedling be better? What length?
It has been two days since I have had a TCA cross, microneedling and subsicion done for my acne scars. I am now healing and my face is red with dark red marks where the tca is done. I would like to know what I can use to help the healing process. Usually differin is applied daily provided by my dermatologist however have not used it after the treatment, can I use differin on the treated area?. Does baby healing creams such as sudo cream help?
