I had my facelift 6 weeks ago . I want to know when I can go back to the gym to do my lower and upper body resistance training. I specifically use resistance machines more than free weights. As far as my symptoms I still have tingling and nerve healing.
Use head wrap most of the time and have been sleeping in a recliner all this time. Only med is Aleve, no bending or exercise, watch my diet. But I look worse NOW than I did a few weeks ago. PS checked for fluid with needle, negative, and said to be patient, don't use the head wrap anymore and get on with a normal life.. ? 1. Is it normal for the swelling and hardness to increase with time? 2. What is the best way to deal with the hard lumps.. hot or cold compresses with gentle massage?
Will this resolve in time? The doctor who did my lift told me to massage and pinch the affected areas until sore several times a day. He said It may take some time, but these areas will clear up. Is that statement true? I'm very embarrassed. At a recent outdoor event (light breeze) several people noticed and commented on it, wondering what happened to me. Needless to say swimming, bike riding, horseback riding and running are out of the question at this point. I actually left the party.
