I'm 7 mos post op from lipo. I've been dealing w/ seromas on both lower abdominal areas. I've been having them aspirated biweekly and weekly since 10 days po. Left side finally closed round 5 months & the right was really almost closed as well. but 2 months later, now it's all of the sudden sore, tingly, & accumulating more fluid. I've only had to have it drained 2 times in 2 months and both times were less than 10 ccs. Now all of the sudden they pulled 30ccs in 5 days. What could be the cause?
After 360 lipo of the abdomen I developed a seroma which turned to scar tissue on my left side. I want to get more lipo for a smaller waist, but I am wondering how will the scar tissue affect the result of futher lipo.
Can you form a seroma any time after liposuction or does it usually occur in a certain timeframe? I know compression is important but can too tight of a garment cause seromas? I have an appt for an evaluation but I'm just wondering. If i do have one, this is the 2nd one. One at two weeks and now 2 months. Both times were with new/alterred garments that felt very tight. But the surgeons office just talked about how important compression is and it needed to be tight so I keep assumming normal
after having liposuction procedure, i've continued to have fluid build up and need to be aspirated. Should it only be done or drained by the doctor or a licensed person. Or is this something the office staff should be able to handle as well?
Hello i have a encapsulated seroma after an abdominal pasty (10 years) i have had it now and just accepted it i don't have pain i have more fat on top of it that i feel is making it more noticeable, i was wondering can you have liposuction with a encapsulated seroma / cronic seroma or does the seroma have ti be removed surgically as well before having the liposuction. Thank you
I had liposuction on my inner thigh 7 months ago and developed a seroma which was hard as a gulf ball. My surgeon drained it multiple times and injected it one time with steroids but it stills keep filling and its been almost a month that the sac was removed. The incision is pretty much healed but it stills keep filling up and has about 20mls or more of serous fluid. Is this normal to have the sac removed but the area to still filling up with fluid?
I had liposuction in South Korea 10 months ago, and the day after the procedure I returned to the surgeon to have my surgery area (abdomen, flanks and back) squeezed. They didnt give me drains after the surgery and instead pushed/massaged the fluid out of the wounds the next day. since then I had a strange shape to my abdomen where they had pushed the fluid down and it didnt all get squeezed out. I was so hoping for a flat stomach, I am so disheartened.
I had Lipo 3 weeks ago and had a complication with a seroma in one spot. It was drained 6 times and I think it went away finally but my stomach does not in any shape form or fashion look good. Is this normal? When do I start to worry that it will not get any better than this? there also seems to be an odd imprint on my stomach. I have read all the answers and know there is swelling. What I want to know is 3 weeks PO is this what it is supposed to look like?
I'm almost 4 weeks post OP and have a seroma on my right side that keeps coming back despite following my PS instructions to elevate my legs and refrain from excessive activity. I am no longer within reach of my PS. I left the country to visits family for the holidays and I wont be back in the states for about another month how long can it go without being drained before its too late? I've been draining it myself with some success but an afraid to continue for fear of causing more harm.
Iam 2 months post op from lipo and I immediately gotten a seroma in my lower back. A drain was put in for about 1 month and and 2 weeks and they recently removed it because it was supposedly closed. Before they removed it they injected it with doxicycline to seal the wall. Now I have fluid again he stated I didnt need another drain that my body will absorb the fluid. Its huge and my back hurts what should I do. Can it mess with my spine. And would I stay with a huge hard bump on my back
