I am having Lipoma Removal Surgery on Tuesday, December 12th. The Lipoma is right next to my spine. I work at a daycare. I teach eight two-year olds. The changing table in my room has steps. I was told that they would cut the shape of a football to remove it. I would have stitches and probably be off a week.
I have a very large lipoma 11cm x 5cm x 5cm in a very rare location- resting on my lateral chest wall between the clavicle (collar bone) and scapula (shoulder blade). Surgeon says I'll be in the hospital for a night or two. How long before I'm back at work as a teacher? Thank you!
I have a Lipoma on my neck and shoulder which is approximately 12x17x20 Centimeters . I have had it about 10 years and thought it was related to a neck injury (I hit my back of my neck on a wooden armrest). I have heard I could be off work up to 3 weeks! I know I am going to have to have a surgical drain and how much pain I might be in It has been bothering me for many years but no one told me it was a Lipoma and could be removed. I also have degenerative disk in neck.
