Hello, I have had 3 back surgeries and still in pain. I have Knots on my lower back on the side that hurts. After many MRI, CT, injections and nothing worksI have been researching theses knots on my back. A pain management dr told me that my cluneal nerves were inflamed . So she injected them . It did work but came back. But there is a underlying cause for them being irritated. I have like a cluster of knots under the skin on that side. I am thinking it is back mice. What kind of dr do I see
34 y/o female, 59 I had a lipoma removed already- peach sized, pressed against the back of my right-hipbone (Around $10k). This first procedure had a tough recovery, as lipomas are adjacent to herniated L4/L5, right on my lower back. I had the right side removed and not sure what to expect healing from left side excision. I have pressure on my left hip, have felt the lipoma pulsate, and feel imbalanced. My work involves slight lifting, moving, always on my feet. Was 10k too $$$?
I am having a lipoma removed from my lower back by a general surgeon. he states it is wrapped around a nerve. he would nor remove it in the office due to not sure how bad it looks until he gets in there. I just want to know how much pain I will be in after the procedure. I am also a nurse and don't like pain. how long will I be out of work please help
It is a bit deep seated. I just got diagnosed with a lipoma on my lower back. It is a bit deep seated, its not really visble, you need to dig a bit to feel it. My big concern is that is liposcarma. I know that a true diagnosis can not be made until biopsy is done. But how many lipomas are actually cancer?
Lower back pain and have two lipomas in the area. Wonder if they could be pressing on a nerve. Previously had one very deep in elbow joint, not visible from outside. Doc said no problem but I insisted on removal and pain went away. So the ones in my back make me suspicious.
I had 4 very large lipomas removed from my lower back last year, they were very large the combined size shown on the pathology report was 535 cubic inches. I now have 2 giant seromas that will not go away. I have had them drained several times, the Dr usually drains about 250ccs from one and 175ccs from the other. I wear compression 24/7. My Dr will not consider putting in a drain, she says she just doesn't do that. Would you put in a drain in this situation?
I have a deep lipoma on my iliac crest and lower back.My orthopedic surgeon that performed two arthroscopic for a torn labrum, said he would suggest an injection.I am in a severe amount of pain and he does not seem to want to remove it.The pain is a shocking sensation on my lower right back, weakness to front of groin and down my right leg.I consulted with a dermatologist,he told me it was intramuscular and a general surgeon is a good option.(The lipoma did not show on a mri but you can feel it)
Hello! I'm a 22 year old female, in decent shape, otherwise healthy. Strange lump (hard and painful), became more and more painful in 2 months' time - walking, coughing. A picture & diagnosis: intramuscular lipoma, a hypo-echogenic nodus of 2.3 on 2.7 cm, homogenous, on the source? of the gluteus maximus, left side lower back. No further research, operation apparently no option. Pain keeps getting worse and back feels tight and tense in its vicinity. Doctor says I should simply try to live with it. I am not sure what to do, do you have any advice?
I had a lower back lipoma that was removed back in Oct 2017 due to pain. I now feel a lump right under that scar. It does come with pain after my long 12 hr shift at hospital. The pain feels like a pulling pain. What could it be? A lipoma or torn/tearing of scar tissue?
About two years ago I had a lipoma removed from my upper back. At the time I had it removed it did not hurt .now lately I have a pain in the same exact spot and it radiates down my back and wraps around to the front . When I went to my regular doctor the other day he told me it has nothing to do with the lipoma ,just has to do with aches and pains of getting old I am 52! Pain feels like a Charlie horse or a bad cramp and is constant .
