Hello, I have had 3 back surgeries and still in pain. I have Knots on my lower back on the side that hurts. After many MRI, CT, injections and nothing worksI have been researching theses knots on my back. A pain management dr told me that my cluneal nerves were inflamed . So she injected them . It did work but came back. But there is a underlying cause for them being irritated. I have like a cluster of knots under the skin on that side. I am thinking it is back mice. What kind of dr do I see
Lower back pain and have two lipomas in the area. Wonder if they could be pressing on a nerve. Previously had one very deep in elbow joint, not visible from outside. Doc said no problem but I insisted on removal and pain went away. So the ones in my back make me suspicious.
Discomfort is one thing. Outright pain is another. This began with pulling and burning sensation at the opening where tube is inserted. Now, bc small clot in tube, I've been told to milk/strip the tube to keep it from clogging. Now, when I strip it, I have severe pain in my back, near where the end of the tube is situated. I refuse to strip it again. Should I Just deal w/ it for 1 wk (return appt)? Drainage was around 30 CC's daily until this started (last 24 hrs). Now it's < 10CCs.
My insurance doesn't cover the removal of lipomas, but I'm fairly certain they are the cause of my back pain because they are right next to my spine. Can that effect their decisions in covering such surgery? If so, are there any good surgeons for the job in the Detroit area, even better one that's Beaumont affiliated.
I have two lipomas on my lower left back that the doctor thinks is causing my lower back pain. The MRI showed my spine to be in good condition, so he feels the dull ache I've been having (being forced to sleep with a pillow under my left hip when I lie on my back at night) is due to the lipomas. It makes sense in one respect, but I hate to go through the surgery only to have the back ache continue. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
