In 1995, I got GoreTex implants in my upper & lower lip. As I've aged, and the skin has thinned, I can see that the upper implant bows out over the vermillion border, looking like a lump over my lip on one side. Especially visible when I smile. What's the removal process like, esp if there's adhesion (after 30 years, I'd assume at least a little !). It's the solid ribbon-like GoreTex, not the hollow form implant. Thanks!!!
I had permalip implants about 15 years ago i would like removed. No issues, only age has made my lips lower and they look displaced. First-does anyone do this? Florida location would be nice. Second- can i have a lip lift same time or what can i do so i dont lose whats left of my thin lips? Ty!
I have an upper lip Permalip implant that needs to come out. It was badly placed to start with, looks like I have a mustache. Recently, I have developed wrinkles on top of my upper lip. I am wondering, if once removed, a lip lift will give the illusion of volume, or if I would also need a dermal graft. Doctors, please let me have your thoughts.
In 2006 I had a lip implant done in San Mateo Ca. From my research.. I'm guessing Advant? I've never liked it, it's hard and makes my lip stick out like a Simpson. I've been told by 2 docs to just leave it. Any experience with trying to take it out? Especially one this old?
In the last three years the my filler dissolves within weeks. I have tried juvaderm, restylane, and rha. Since august I have had six syringes and its virtually gone after a month each time. I have tried different injectors. I am told based on my size I would not be a great candidate for a fat transfer so I'm considering a lip lift or lip lift with implants. What is the main reason more patients than not end up getting their implants removed? I find twice as many removal reviews.
Hi, I wanted fuller lips. Had implants. Surgeon had not done the procedure before. Bottom implant is too short has to come out. I have tingling, my lips are always very very dry. I can feel the implants. Will the tingling ever go away? Should I replace the bottom implant or just have removed? Will the recovery be worse with the replacement? Why are my lips so very dry now? Very unhappy and depressed. Help and advice please.
I'm considering Lip implants. My mouth is small to begin with, and my lips -- especially upper -- are thin. I'm 57, so they're thinning more with age. I have an opportunity to get this done with a reputable plastic surgeon for free. They're new. How reversible is it? Will I look okay for a business trip in a week? Should I just get permanent liner instead and accept my thin lips?
