Having a mild allergic reaction to tray 4 of my Invisalign aligners. Slightly swollen lips, irritation all over the mucosa and gingiva adjacent to the aligner. Do I have any hope in completing treatment? Will be contacting my orthodontist on Monday but eager to know sooner. Thank you
On tray 6, had pain, dentist did a scan, said it must be sinus swelling(the tooth is up into the palate). Went back to tray 5 for a week, was fine. Tried tray 6 again, same problem, did a scan, sinus infection, got meds, everything was totally fine. Tried tray 6 again, and now there is swelling in my face - in my smile line and my teeth are quite painful. I do t have a runny nose. And Im also working in Chile right now. Please advise
I had braces for 6 years (I know) and stopped wearing my retainer. So, my teeth relapsed... and badly. 7 years later, I noticed my jawline and lower face shape has changed dramatically, even from 2-4 years ago. I am beginning Invisalign treatment soon, and am wondering whether realigning my teeth and fixing my bite will help my face shape go back to the way it was. (Reference: I used to have a pretty defined jawline, but now it seems like my lower jaw is slightly swollen.)
I am on trays 17/20. I put trays 17 in a week ago and my gums in between my teeth are still swollen. The teeth where my buttons are hurt really bad when I take my trays out. I feel like I'm going to rip my teeth out. It just concerns me because I've only had this pain when I got my buttons on back when I got trays 3. And that only lasted about four days. Why is this happening when I'm almost done with treatment? Is it normal?
I'm a 15 year old boy going into my sophomore year of high school. My teeth are very crowded and my bite is off. My ortho gave me Invisalign and the first two days were awful. They put 16 attachments ok my teeth, with rubber bands and the trays. It's terrible, my mouth hurts so badly, my gum is swollen, and it takes me 45 minutes just to get the trays in. I've had second guesses ahour starting Invisalign and I've had thoughts about switching to traditional braces, would you recommend this?
I had invisalign for 15 months. Once thought I had thrush but it was negative. My tongue is swollen with white film. I have gargled with baking soda/salt and warm water for weeks also tried warm water and hydro peroxide. Is my plastic retainer doing this? Is this an allergic reaction to plastic?
