I had a FUE hair transplant about 4.5 months ago. However, I massaged my head extremely hard 6 weeks after my hair transplant and noticed a lot of small hairs fall out. As of today, there has not been much growth, specifically in the area that I massaged hard (frontal region). Of course I learned afterwards that I should have only gently massaged my hair. What are the chances that I have damaged/lost grafts from massaging too hard?
I thought I had missed the shedding phase - but this week I have starting using a biotin shampoo - and hairs are coming away as I gently massage shampoo in. Is this normal? Also when would you advise using the gym for lifts my weights and sauna?
15 days after 4000 grafts hair transplant, My scalp still had some big scabs so the doctor advised me to massage my scalp while shampooing a bit harder than before in order to remove these scabs. I followed his instructions but I'm worried that I disloged some grafts since few scabs looked like clotted blood and had hairs attached to them. However there was no bleeding, pain, or redness. How long after ht are grafts secure can't be dislodged even with vigorous massaging.
I had a hair transplant roughly 12 days ago. On day 10-11, I had approx. 90 percent of scabs on my head. The scabs were small, but I decided to try and work them off. On day 11, I had a shower and massaged my head with some degree of pressure. I cleared my head over the course of two showers. Is it possible that I dislodged grafts? I don't recall any blood. Is it possible to cause trauma to the grafts and cause them to die? Should I be concerned? My head is a little red, swollen, and itchy.
After 33 days of my HT, I was in the normal post operative shedding phase . Until that point, I was very gentle with massaging my recipent area during the shampoo. Finally I decided to be more aggressive with the massage. That day I noticed tons of hair on my hands. Now I am nervous that I might have been too aggressive. There was no bleeding or physical damage. I have heard that by two weeks the hair shaft is separated from the growth center any way. Is there a chance I disturbed the grafts?
I had my hair transplant nearly 2 months ago and I am just concerned that i have some bald patches where the hair has shed, but a lot of it still hasn't shed yet. Have the grafts been damaged through massaging my scalp? Is that why it has caused the few bald patches?
I had a 2800 graft hair transplant 6 months ago, its grown well but today I had a spa day with my wife and a facial done, the lady who did the facial was really massaging/pull my hair quite hard at one point, is it possible she may of pulled the grafts out?
