Hello - how well would daily Dutasteride 0.5mg work to prevent hair loss in a man prone to hair loss while he is taking Androgel, HcG and Anastrozole to improve low testosterone levels?
I've been on finasteride for 5 years now and started at nw5 brought me back to nw3 vertex. I take it everyday single day. I've never missed a single dose. I have 2 questions for you. 1.Does finasteride ever just stop working or mainly slowly lose effectiveness but continue to slow my hair loss? 2. If I switch to dutasteride how quickly would take for dutasteride to stop my hair loss once I transfer off finasteride? I don't want to get off fin and lose ground while I begin dutasteride. You know?
Im 27 years old, had hair transplant 2 years ago, experiencing hair loss 1 year ago Currently on dutasteride 1mg, oral minoxidil 1mg and finasteride 1mg plus 5% topical min every day, also on HRT and take estradiol valerate and triptolin. Pull test is negative only 2 3 hair from 60 to 80 strands of hair.thinning is happening all over my head back, sides and hair line it's less noticeable at hairline , had 3 prp session which makes hair loss worse, someday i lose 300 hair.biopsy is in photos
I have been on topical minoxidl for over 6 years now and have been on 1.25mg oral finasteride for over 3 years now. The topical minoxidl provided regrowth the first year but now has just flatlined the last few years. My hairline has staying the same over the years but i have slowly lost density. I was considering switching to oral dutasteride and oral minoxidl. Would this be a good idea and how should i go about it? Straight switch or slow introduction of the new medication?
At 23 I had a full head of hair. Over a 10-month span, I lost more than half of my hair. Id say about 70% at least diffuse. A dermatologist diagnosed me with both MPD and telogen effluvium after blood work. Ive now been on oral minoxidil for almost 2 years, and finasteride about a year and a half. Really not much to show for it despite being young and loss being recent. How likely is it dutasteride can bring my hair back? Would still take oral min
Hi, in a nutshell, I have been on Finasteride for around 5 years. The first 4 years I saw great results however in the last year I have seen my results starting to disappear again and my hair loss slowly continuing. I want to add one Dutasteride a week and my doctor said fine. My question is in any doctor's experience on here... have you ever seen any one of your patients hair get worse when adding one Dutasteride to Finasteride on the 6 other days. I hear stories of sheds / hair ruined...
If it is scar tissue could it be from aga or something else? There are some photos from my scalp first one and second one I took recently and third is from 2 years ago. First and second are 8x zoom and 3rd is 3x I'm currently on min topical fin and dutasteride pills for 2 years and I'm 27, the pictures are from my both sides of my head above my ears.

There's companies such as happy head, XYON, and many more that offer topical finasteride and dutasteride.
