What is the best non invasive treatment to create more volume and firmness around the eyes. Fraxel has been suggested, but I'm afraid that it may be too aggressive on thin skin. I am 56 I had an upper and lower bleph carried out about 9 years ago, but now have quite a bit of laxity on the upper eye area, lower eye area isn't too bad, but would like to improve the firmness there.
I'm concerned that having thin skin that I would be a bad candidate for Fraxel (increased risk of scarring, penetration of laser too deep). How do you measure skin thickness and consequently know what the settings required for Fraxel Restore are?
I am older and have very fragile, finely wrinkled skin. I presently use all the recommended skin creams including tretinoin, Vit C on my skin and have for many years with minimal improvement. A plastic surgeon suggested either Fraxel or CO2. I am worried I will be down to the dermis after such treatment! What is the best modality to use for skin like mine? Thanks
