I am a 34 year old Asian female. The pores around my nose are very large, much line the skin of an orange..yuck! I clean my pores, but they just appear more visible when "unclogged." Additionally, I'm EXTRA oil after I've unclogged my pores. I've been using tretinoids for years, but doesn't reduce the size of my pores. Please help! What is the most effective and longest lasting procedure for pore reduction, Botox, Fraxel Restore, Juvederm, other lasers, obagi nu-derm, anything?? THANKS!!!
My skin has been ruined. I had fraxel 1550 a year ago and the texture of my skin has changed. I suffer from redness, sensitivity, hyperpigmentation and have the orange peel texture. After my first treatment I was in alot of pain felt really itchy. 5 days post fraxel i looked burnt. I wasnt healiing properly and knew something wasn't right. I called the clinic who told me to just apply ointment and be patient. 4 weeks went on and I was still healing. What went wrong and how can I reverse.
Hi everyone !!! Im desperately seeking help as my Dr is unsure of why has happened to my skin. I had fraxel done 6 months ago and for the past four months my skin has turned rough and bumpy. I stopped using all Products and only wash with cetaphil and apply DermAid hydrocortisone to my face 1%. Still no changes to the skin .I originally wanted to procedure to improve skin texture, help with congested skin and sebaceous Hyperplasia.
I have had 2 consultations and both PS recommended Fraxel for skin resurfacing, but the reviews are terrifying. Are you guys seeing all of these issues in your practice with Fraxel? Burns, orange peel skin, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, persistent erythema, scars?
I had two sessions of fraxel for acne scarring, 6 weeks apart. I felt that I saw an immediate positive difference after the first session but, after the second, i decided to discontinue as I felt that my skin was beginning to look worse than before I started. My last session was 6 weeks ago and my pores are still large, my skin has an orange peely look and it looks old and tired, I'm 36, will my skin ever return to how it was before the treatment?
I am scheduled to have Fraxel laser treatment in the next week. My skin has always been fairly smooth but as I've gotten older, I've noticed my pores are larger and my skin less smooth. My dermatologist feels I can get by with one treatment to get the results I am looking for, which is to smooth out the fine lines and the texture of my skin. I've read a few people who say they are really regretting that they ever did the procedure. How often do you see the orange peel skin as a bad result?
I have just been prescribed 5 days of 25mg of prednisone then tappering off for 5 days for an unrelated issue ( possible gout). I had my fraxel treatment done a month ago my skin is still quiet red and feels warm and i have the orange peel texture on my skin. will the prednisone do further damage to the healing process or is it safe for me to take ?
