Hello, I have never had facial fat transfer before. I have heard some horror stories about fat graft to the nasolabial fold resulting in necrosis to the nose. I just had my rhinoplasty 2 months ago and would like to try fat graft to the mid cheeks and temple area. Are there any risks or side effects like necrosis to the nose with those areas?
Hello, I've had a facial fat transfer almost 20 years ago. The fat injected hardened almost immediatrly right after and stayed like this. It didn't cause pain and it looked good, so I let it be. Now with age my face is changing and It starts to look weird and I wold like to have the hard lumps removed, but my surgeon in now retired. What are my option and who is a surgeon sepcialised in fat grafting revision in Europe?
I understand that the transferred fat that does not survive is absorbed by the body, and that fat necrosis can occur when the fat cells die, forming a lump. So what would cause the dead fat cells to form a lump (necrosis) instead of being absorbed and going away? And how do you know the difference between a fat necrosis lump and a regular living fat lump?
I had several procedures performed 7 years ago including lipo to the inner thigh area transferred to my under eyes. I am left with a large hard lump under my left eye. I went back to my surgeon 5 times asking to fix my under-eyes but he refused to touch it. I tried massage which moved the fat up & directly under my eyeball. I assume it is fat necrosis but no surgeon in my area will even consult. I'm looking for the least invasive procedure possible. Will travel to NY, TX, or surrounding FL area.
The left side of my cheap only in last day developed into hard lump although there was always a bruise. On my right side of face no bruise and no lump. Is it too soon to start worrying this could be necrosis? Also if edema how long on average will it take to resolve?
How do I get the look in these photos? My eyelids used to be a lot fuller, but now they look more sunken in. I know this feature is critical for a youthful, well-rested appearance. I'm looking for something more permanent, though I've been warned that fat grafting around the eyes can leave ugly fat necrosis bumps that are difficult to remove. I also want to get rid of the dark pigmentation of the upper eyelid. Please help. Thanks!
