I have always suffered under eye bags but they have always been manageable. However, a few years ago I was prescribed hydrocortisone for facial eczema. Since then, I have noticed that my eye bags are much bigger and darker and when I smile I have different wrinkles under each eye. I'm wondering what I can do about it?
I had a lower blepharoplasty 12 years ago with good results. The fat under my skin had atrophied, probably from essential hydrocortisone use. I was told it would probably need redoing after 10 years or so. Do I go through the operation again or can fillers be used.. someone said fillers can only be used on taut skin? I am only 54.
I had upper and lower Bleph with cauterization of my mallar festoons 3 months ago. At five weeks Co2 laser which seemed to make things look worse. I had lower blepharoplasty 9 days ago and my stitches have been removed. My right eye has puckering where the stitches were. Surgeon said this will flatten out and to not worry and do hot compresses. He alsogave me 1% hydrocortisone to use for 6 weeks. Will it flatten?
Have been to my general practitioner. He agreed to perscribe hydrocortisone 1% ointment to soften scars for just 3-4 days. He said I should cone back in four days and if not any improvement I could be referred to a ophthalmologist. My surgeon in Czech Republic is of the opinion the cream could help but feels things will settle in time without interference.
I bruised badly, went home from the surgery very bruised. I am fair skinned and bruise daily. I am 60. My ps told me to begin to put 1% OTC hydrocortisone cream on incision line to help smooth it.
