I used bimatoprost for a year and it caused enophtalmos in both eyes. The change is significant and it makes me depressed. Is it possible to measure enophtalmos in both eyes? What are my options for surgery? Is it possible to get orbital implants to fix my eye shape?
I had a bleph 3 years ago and I was pretty satisfied with the results. Over the past 6 months, my eyes have rapidly sunk into my eye socket. I had them measured last week with an exophthalmometer and they measure 11. I have no before measurements but I know my face I can feel the significant shift. Could the removal of fat from the bleph cause this? Can they keep sinking further in? Can the eyeballs compress the optic nerve being so far back? Can exophthalmos cause vision loss?
I think i've had enophthalmos in one eye for a long time but in the past few years it's been starting to show a lot more. I think i got it from an injury which was a soccer ball to the eye. Most likely when I was 8-9 and i am now 18. Is it possible that it can still be corrected?
My eye has sunken deeper and lower into socket over the past month. Ophthalmologist has checked my eyes says he doesnt know what the issue is. When I look at people with the same symptoms silent sinus syndrome or enophthalmos seem to be what it is but I have no idea what to do next. I have an appointment with my Dr tomorrow and will ask for a ct scan but he says it is from Botox and it is not. He said my eye sunk from Botox at the last appointment. I need to know where to ask him to refer to
I would love to lower my Asymmetrical eyes level as much as possible I have enophthalmos on my left eye duo to a orbit fracture I had , it was repaired but I still have enophthalmos less than 2mm Because of the risk I wouldn't want to operate the operated eye again and i actually like it more than the none operated eye because I always had bulgy eyes My question would be, Would you recommend me having a descompresin surgery on my right eye ? Or what do you recommend as a expert Thanks,
I have always had big eyes and they were my defining feature. For the past 2 years, I have noticed them getting smaller and 3 months ago, they sunk deep enough to change my appearance. I look like a completely different person now. I believe the cause of my enophthalmos is congenital issues with my eyes/bone structure. What kind of doctor would I need to see for help? Thank you.
In other words, presumably cosmetic. I believe I am suffering from enophthalmos due to congenital abnormalities of my eyes. They have slowly sunken deeper since I was 20 years old and at 27, I look like a completely different person. My eyes are small and sunken. Do the benefits outweigh the risks of me pursuing some kind of surgery to bring my eyes forward again? Thank you.
Hello Dr's!! I am wondering what options I could have to fix the symmetry in my eyes. I had an orbital floor fracture repair done 7+ years ago and really starting to notice the difference in symmetry. For one, the upper lid has lax skin from loss of volume. Secondly, looks like a mild case of enophthalmos. Lastly, the undereye area for both eyes are darker and don't look fresh. The eye that had the surgery looks way worse all around. The eyebrow even tends to drop more. Any suggestions?
Hello! I had a non-traumatic retinal detachment which I then had surgery for in 2017. I had a scleral buckle put in, but Ive noticed that my eyes are now uneven. I dont have droopy eyelids (Im East Asian so I dont have any!), and I think its mostly because it seems my eyeballs have sunk in? I dont think its enophthalmus, but it does seem like my eyeballs are smaller. What procedures should I consider to fix it/what kind of surgeon should I have a consultation with?
