I have been depressed for years . When I cry my lower eyelid gets extremely puffy, as if I have been punched , same when I wake up , but after some hours the skin sunkes in because I have no fat deposits in the place making my wrickles more visible but if I inject something in my lower eyelid it would get worse after I cry and after I sleep and it is not a permanent solution. Is laser a better treatment or blepharoplasty? I can't post high quality photos. I am only 21.
I had upper eye lid surgery 9 months ago, ever since, I can not produce tears when I cry. I get a burning sensation when I cry, sneeze, etc but no tears in either eye. My doctor states that he cant explain it, and not likely come back as my eyes continue to heal. I'm concerned a nerve was nicked during surgery, and my ability to create tears when I cry may never come back. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix this? What direction do I go to get a second opinion? What type of Specialist?
I had upper eyelid surgery and was not very happy with my results. I probably cried almost every weekend for 2 months after my surgery. My eyes were swelling so bad it felt like they will explode and I had a lot of pain in the area of the stitches. Would this harm the way eyes heal? Would this disinformation the position of the stitches? I notice the stitches have stretched and I'm not sure if they can be influenced and heal abnormally.
I had transconjuncival lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning and fat grafts. I'm in my 3rd week of recovery, unfortunately am going through lots of emotions due to a break up. Although I tried hard to not cry, I couldn't help it. I cried a lot. I noticed the skin of my lower lid is crepey since a couple days. I don't know if the the swelling that went down or I ruined it from crying? There is puffiness under my eyes as well. Could crying so early on after surgery cause permanent damage?
Some personal issues happened in my life and am now at 6 weeks post eyelid surgery op. I had extreme crying (though I tried hard not to) for a few days and my eyelids were swollen. That was a week ago, and now I have noticed a significant change in the crease (like as if some skin below the crease has overstretched due to the swollenness). A wrinkly bit of skin below the crease seem to be there eventhough my crying has stopped for a few days now. Do I need to see a doc? Should I be worried?
