I know any procedure has risks, but how risky is a tummy tuck? I know infection, scarring, swelling, pain while healing. My husband is all of a sudden concerned about my life, and what if something goes horribly wrong. He doesnt think its worth it. Are there any good resources that we can look through? Im mostly finding positive outcomes. Ive had 3 big babies, the last one being 12lbs, and Id LOVE to fix the significant muscle separation. I need my husband to be ok with this decision. Ty!
Day 12 po and back to work since day 7 po. Wearing my binder 24/7. Swelling from sitting at desk looks odd, a bulge below the belly button, more pressure on the incision. Love standing and walking as much as possible, out shopping several times. I DO expect swelling but sitting is really getting to me, causing back pain and worry about pressure on the incisions. I cannot recline much at work but maybe a new chair, pillows or something??? Specific diet advice, etc. All advice is welcome!
I had a tummy tuck 8 days ago, my doctor got me tight and flat. The 1st night the compression Garmet shifted and was not long enough. A bulge formed and the skin swelled up right at my incision line. The garmet was so tight everywhere else that it pushed sKin down The doc says its soft tissue swelling and not a seronma but its big and ugly. He does drain free TT so no drain. How long should it take to go down, do you think it will go away or will need a revision?
I'm 3 weeks post op drainless tummy tuck and I've had this fluid below my belly button since surgery. I've been reading that swelling is supposed to feel firm and fixed. My stomach is soft and I can feel the fluid. I read that with seromas you will see a fluid wave. I can see the fluid move when I move and when I tap on it, I can see the ripples. I brought the issue up again to my PS on my 3 week appointment and he said my body will absorb the extra fluid. I don't go back until I'm 6 weeks.
Is swelling in hips, groin, thighs and low back normal after a no drain tummy tuck and diastasis repair? I am wearing a binder and the swelling is accumulating below it. I am 3 days post-op and extremely sore. I have been sitting in a recliner with my feet up and only get up to use the bathroom (still no bm) because it's very painful to walk. Is there something I am doing wrong or should be doing to help the swelling and pain?
5.5 months post op TT. Still A LOT of soreness & tightness. Cannot exercise much & even hurts if I have a long day at my desk. Main reason for the TT was diastasis repair that I think contributed to back issues. I am 54 & 125lbs so the procedure was mainly muscle repair. Has anyone encountered similar issue? And yes, I TT my Dr. He said this was not normal and nothing he could do. He is board certified, 5 star rating on this website and others I researched so RELLY disappointed & at a loss..
