I just did my second Soonsu shining peel which I do weekly and plan on doing for 5-6 weeks. I would like to introduce Vitamin C and retinol serum (which I used to do before the peels morning for the Vit C and night for the retinol. What do you suggest?
Ive been getting TCA peels at my dermatologist for a few months now and I know when you have a chemical peel to be gentle with your skin and use gentle products, but I was wondering if I could use a vitamin C serum (L-absorbic acid) in the mornings while I have the peel going on?
I got hyper pigmentation after chemical peeling .. it wasnt too much brown patches but it really get me annoyed.. My dermatologist gave me a formula of Hydroquinone 8% Kojic acid 4 % Tretinoin 0.1% And he told me to use this formula on the darker patches just before bedtime. And to use skinceuticals vitamin c & e in the daytime + sunscreen. I have used this formula 3 days and the patches are very irritated so i stopped using it for 2 days till now. Photos attached.
What happened was I applied 40% lactic acid peel on my face 4 times successfully before the 5th time which I applied it over an open wound (just a healing pimple, was actually small) and then I noticed I got purple hyperpigmentation there now. Its not very deep at all but the color is strong, It's been 2 weeks now and im wanted to know if it would it be safe and helpful to apply vitamin c serum on it? Will the color fade? Thank you so much, it's causing me much stress please help if you can.
My mom travelled greatly in the heat & never shyed away from sun exposure still her skin was flawless. 3 to 3.5 yrs ago she started swimming & felt her skin started to pigment. so she got a chemical peel done. instead, it started to cause hyperpigmentation. since then she's been getting monthly laser treatments & using Obagi creams. it disappears temporarily but resurfaces after the slightest exposure to sun. can IV vitamin c cure/stop this permanently? can she go in the sun w/o this happening?
