My skin clears and breaks out in cycles, got impatient and popped a cystic zit,a few times, stupid I know,I feel indentation when I run the tip of my finger over it. How long till I can know for sure if it is permanent indentation (I.e boxcar, icepick etc) or if it's temporary like the one I had on my other cheek that eventually filled in? Also does argan oil and chemical peels help? Thanks !
Since young, I have always struggled with cystic acne and hyperpigmentation. I recently broke out of picking extremely, but even without picking I still get scars. I dont have as much cystic acne, but more of irritated red bumps and then of course hyperpigmentation from my shoulder blades all the way down to my lower back. I wold just like to know if I can get a chemical peel for the back and if there are other options to try as well. Thank you.
I had cystic acne as a teenager and young adult. I started chemical peels in 2010 (age 23) and initially saw improvement with 18%TCA + Jessner peels and IPL, but it wasn't long before I plateaued. Now peels only help maintain earlier results. Does this mean I should move on to laser therapy or stronger peels, or is it possible I've reached the maximum improvement one could hope to get for acne scars and I'd be wasting my time and money to keep trying for perfect skin?
I was prescribed Tri-Luma for a few VERY dark hyperpigmentation spots from cystic pimples. While on Tri-Luma would it be beneficial to continue some more chemical peels periodically to help fade the Hyperpigmentation? Also because of the Hydroquinone in Tri-Luma would I be able to get stronger chemical peels without further Hyperpigmentation?
I am on isotretionin 20mg (from past 10 days). Before that I was on isotretionin 10 mg ( for about 2 months). Also I did 3 salicylic acid peel (in interval of 15 days). But still I am getting painful cystic acne, papules. My cheeks have lots of pink acne scars. Please help
