I did a medium strength superficial chemical peel at home (Dr Gross AHA/BHA peel pads) on Saturday morning. The results were fantastic and my skin looked great until I woke up Sunday morning. My eyes and face were swollen, my skin was burning, itching, and I have tiny raised bumps on my face. I have taken Benadryl daily and used 1% hydrocortisone cream. Its day 3 and the s/s have improved minimally. What is this and will it go away? What should I do to help my skin?
Yesterday I went to a salon to get a facial. At first I felt a little burning but then I felt a strong burn. They applied a peeling solution of mandelic acid at 50%, and left it for about 5 minutes. My face was tight and stinging so I went to the pharmacy and got some panthenol. Today my skin does not burn so much and is not as tight, but it is more red/brown and it is starting to it itch....is this normal?? what sort of care should I provide to my skin now?
Hello:) I have done a chemical peel last night.. with mandelic acid 20% glycolic acid 20% and salicylic acid 15% I have done this peel 2 times before with a gap of 2 months each time. This time I used a brush instead of gauze like nd neutralized it after 3 minutes instead of 1..It was burning so I applied aloe vera gel and slept.. My face was blood red for 2 to 3 hours at night with no tingling or Itching But I realised I have burnt my skin In the morning.. I need help:(
I'm a South asian..I did a salycilic+glycolic peel 3days ago..now my skin is experiencing brown patches..with itchy red bumpy rashes..i have burning sensation too..application of Vaseline helped relieving of it..now my whole face has darkened... I'm afraid that this condition persist life long
I'm not sure what the ingredients are, so I can't say if this is an allergic reaction. They gave me a take home kit which I have been using religiously except for the decolletage cream last night as it burned too much. I expected redness. Now it's not burning, just starting to itch. I've also put a call into the aestetician who did the treatment. Should I only use the cream every other day or stop completely?
