I had a buccal fat pad removal 21 days ago and I had loads more swelling on the right side than the left. I think theres a pinched nerve from the swelling on the right side affecting my top lip and surrounding areas. It isnt very extreme, it isnt very obvious I imagine. But I can tell when I speak and look in the mirror or when I try to lick the right side of my top lip. Is this normal? Will it go back to normal?
I had buccal fat removal October 8th (absorbable stitches). Stitches on my right side fell within the first week and feels like it healed but the left side still has a stitch and hurts if I sleep on it or if I try to open wide or if I chew anything on that side. Can't go to Dr that performed my surgery bc it was out of state. Spoke to surgeon and he said that it was just inflamed and to ice it and that it should come out sometime this week. Should I wait for it to fall on its own? Help!
Hi I am 43 yrs old, post op 3 weeks from buccal fat removal. I def see more sculpted cheekbones but I seem to have worse jowls. Its like I hollowed in my cheeks and the fat dropped into pockets of fat near mouth. Is it still edema? or is it loose dropped skin where fat used to be? or is it pockets of fat? I dont want a facelift. How do I best lift this area for that vline jaw? Should I try Botox? Im upset because the proportion of the fat in my face looks off Balance.
3 weeks ago I had buccal fat removal. I had really big cheeks & also massive masseter muscles, which I got Botox in at the time of the surgery. I'm a little disappointed bc I don't see much of a difference. My masseter is shrinking, & I do see a little bit of leanness in my cheeks but not as much as I hoped. When I touch them they still feel thick and fat. Should I be more patient or should I start looking for other procedures that will give me a small lower face? And if yes, then which ones?
I had my buccal fat removal 3 week ago .. my right cheek is still swollen. Swelling is going down but very slowly.. der is a lump in the cheek which gets harder when I eat something .. I have done this in India . Now I am back to Edmonton Canada .. I don't know what to do ?
I went through a rhinoplasty 20 days ago and my doctor decided to remove my buccal fat to make my face more harmonic. I did have big cheeks but they were not big enough to have this procedure done. Everyone says I look good but when I look in the mirror I feel like I have the tired/old look. My cheeks used to make me look so young. My face doesn't look sunken or hollow but I do think I look older. Is it possible to have my old cheeks with fat grafting? Will they be the same as before? :(
