One year ago I had a coronal brow lift. There is a constant feeling that I am wearing a very tight headband. The doctor said it was nerve damage & would go away w/ time, up to a year. Unfortunately I still feel the tightness all the time. Little stitches protrude from my scalp along the scar. And in these photos you can see some skin flaps which feel really weird. My confidence in this doctor has depreciated entirely. He never took any photos prior to surgery so I have no comparison either.
I had a blepharoplasty with an internal browpexy done 2 months ago. I don't like the result of the browpexy and my doctor said that he could release the stitch by numbing the area and using a needle to cut the stitch. Is this a safe procedure? Will I feel the loose ends of the suture under my skin?
I had a direct brow lift yesterday. Can you tell me how long I should wait before cleaning the incisions and is it best to use just warm water? Also my surgeon has used both dissolvable and removable stitches and has said the removable stitches are to be removed 1 week after surgery. My friend who also had a direct brow lift had hers removed after 5 days after surgery. I have written to my surgeon with these questions and I'm waiting on a reply.
He said they would probably dissolve but that if they didn't, he would remove them at my follow up appointment about 6 weeks after surgery. I still have the sutures and i have had slight bleeding on 2 ocassions. I will see him this week but my question is, were his recommendations the right thing to do? Were they left in too long? Will this worsen the scarring? The incisions were in my hairline
My eyebrows are very high up my face and it disturbs the overall facial proportions. They remind me of clown eyebrows. I want to lower them surgically by a good couple of millimeters. I'm not interested in botox or any temporary options. It is possible to cut below the eyebrow and remove a piece of skin and then stitch it up? Kind of in the same method as a lip lift.
Is there a solution? Feeling discouraged. I'm willing to do a third surgery. My surgeon said this has been his first failed brow lift. He performed a second procedure under a local and unfortunately looks like it failed too. I get my stitches out in a few days and am hoping another Dr has an opinion. I totally trust my Dr. He's been awesome in this process.
Two nights ago, I received a facial blow that split the area just above my eyebrow. At the emergency room that night, I got stitches that seem to be putting my left eyebrow in an unnaturally raised position. I will schedule a meeting with a cosmetic surgeon ASAP, but in the meantime I'd like to know if there is anything you would personally recommend to ensure that I don't have a perpetually angry/quizzical expression on my face.
