Hello Drs I have a problem I did a breast reduction 5 years ago had a spit stitch but it never bothered me and I assumed with time that the stitch would dissolve on it own and it never did now the spit stitch has flipped now on the inside on my boob and I can see the tiny little hole and the blue stitch itself and its been bothering me, can someone please direct to how to fix this and how much? My original has retired and referred to some colleagues but they were out of state.
I had breast reduction surgery may 28 almost 5 months ago I am completely recovered, however, my dissolvable stitches which I assume are not dissolving ,keep causing tiny openings on my skin and poking out, burning, and soreness where the sutures are,The skin is almost Keloid like, however I am not prone to keloid skin. Should I go get them removed to avoid scaring complications? Or should I wait ?
My left breast has a large opening on the horizontal incision. I saw my surgeon 3 days ago, and she removed some sutures that I was spitting. She told me my wound would get worse before it gets better, but Im concerned about the size and overall appearance of it. Im also getting some smelly, greenish discharge.
I had my breast reduction done 4 weeks ago as of tomorrow and have had a small white spot that was barely noticeable for the past 2 weeks but now has become red around the area and is bigger and painful. I'm worried this is an infection. I think it's a spitting suture but the nurse at my surgeon's office didn't seem concerned at all and told me to put polysporin on it so I did that for now.
I had a breast reduction 13 weeks ago. I recovered quickly, began exercising after 7-8 weeks...then 10 weeks...(planks, push ups, light weight lifting, etc) and at 11 weeks after a workout, I had an open wound on my incision line. My surgeon said I spit a stitch. It became infected quickly, I went on antibiotics/silvadine and now it's almost all healed. My questions are 1) did my exercising cause this? 2) Is there some way to restart exercising like I want to and protect my scars/breasts better?
My breast were healing fine, only thing is I could feel some stitches coming through if I ran my hand down my incision. This morning I woke up to this! There was nothing there yesterday, just a stitch! I called my PS office, waiting for call back. Should I wear better compression bra? I wear sports bras without wire.
