Hello! I'm a 5'7 142 lb 52 y/o peri-meno woman, I had a breast reduction at age 29. At the time, my breasts were a very heavy and pendular 36DD/DDD. I was reduced to a large C/small D. The Dr. apparently did largely a lift + a small reduction (more skin than tissue removal). And I was happy! Now, (after proper fittings) I wear a 32/34 F. And I'm back to shoulder pain, neck pain, etc. But I'm also amidst severe hot flashes, fighting meno weight, etc. Should I wait?
I would like my procedure to be covered by insurance. I have BCBS of Michigan and I am 23 years old. I have a size 34 G chest. I have had 6+ months of Physical therapy, it didnt help. I hav gone to a chiropractor, I've taken rash creams for my rashes. I have tried losing weight, the weight wouldn't leave my chest. I have back, neck, and shoulder pain from my chest. I can't breath with my large chest in bed, I get pinched nerves, indents in shoulders. Do I have a good case?
i have an average body type but my breasts make me look bigger than i really am and it has caused a lot of teasing in school and even around family (im the only one above a D cup), and ive become really self-conscious of myself. besides the emotional toll theyve caused, the physical is even worse. they are incredibly heavy to the point where i have constant shoulder and back pain. im worried that they will just keep growing. How long should i wait before a reduction is a possibility?
Currently I'm 45 (no kids, don't plan on any). Since a long time now dealing with neck/shoulder pain and feeling restricted in my breathing due to the weight of the breasts pressing on my ribs, I want to either have them completely gone (best option) or want them to be reduced to a tiny and flat size (No more than 34 A; currently I'm 34D/DD ). Please let me know which one is the best option, what would the procedure be, recovery times and costs? Please help, I need them gone.
I have a lot of back and shoulder pain. If I stand or sit up straight for too long I get a lot of back pain. I also feel extremely uncomfortable in bathing suits, finding bras, and just clothes in general. I feel really uncomfortable all the time both physically and emotionally.
What is the criterion to be met for breast reduction surgery to be covered by Cigna? I have been seeing a chiropractor for a year with little to no improvement in my back and shoulder pain. The grooves in my shoulders from my bra are turning into open wounds and I have open sores underneath my breasts due to chaffing. I am size 40G (40DDDD) and my BMI is 36.
I am 45yo with sagging, 40E breasts which cause neck pain, shoulder pain, and headaches. My mammogram tech always tells me I have the best breasts for mammos cause they are very low density. I have lost weight recently, but my breast seemed to have grown! I am still ~30lbs overweight at 5'8, and my PS believes reduction will help me be more active. Is the surgery easier depending on density? Is it quicker? I was told expect 4hrs, which is kind of scaring me, anesthesia-wise. Thank you
What should I do? My shoulders roll forward and taking my bra off hurts and feels relieving at the same time because of all the weight. Aside from pain, i have a pretty nice figure but my boobs make it hard to find form fitting things and its hard to find a proper suit for support.
Back, neck, and shoulder pain plaques me. 50+ years old and desire smaller breast than 42H. Will HMO pay for reduction in this case? Does reduction automatically lift breast?
