I am almost 1 month Breast Lift (NO IMPLANT) post-op, reversed T scars. spitted several stitches on week 3 for a period of 4 days and were trimmed by my PS yesterday. 1 under my breast, 1 at meeting point between areola and vertical scar at left breast and many on right areola direct. So I had several on both breasts already. Should I be prepared for some more? when this period of spitting stitches ends, usually ?
I saw the doctor and she prescribed biafine cream for the weekend. After putting the cream on for 3 days it seems like the stitch is becoming more open. I will see her tomorrow but in the meantime would like to find out your professional opinions. Should I be worried that it will scar more? Is there something you will recommend I tell her? Thank you.
The scars seem wide to me, not at all in a straight line. They have also split (which I have read is fairly normal.) I am not a smoker. I want to trust my surgeon but I also wanted some other opinions. He told me to rub a wash cloth on the scars to help them heal faster, is that something you would also suggest? This is my first time experiencing this, so Id just like to know if this is a normal thing or if the surgery could have been performed better
I had a breast lift and reduction about a month ago. Had complications in my right breast, at first the incision (in the T juncture) split open due to fat necrosis, more stitches were put in, then had a staph infection that caused the wound to split open again. So had another surgery to remove infected tissue and close wound. A few days ago (3 weeks after) I noticed a little hole, today I noticed this and clear discharge. Dr says it looks like a burn, I feel like I'm also rejecting the stitches?
Had breast lift and reduction over 7 months ago . I have been sitting stitches every few months . The right breast more . In the beginning I even got a staff infection from the spitting stitch . Now I know when they are coming and clean the area well . Help because they are making my scars thicker and wider . Thanks some much
Hello, I am 7 weeks post op from a breast lift. I have been spitting stitches and once a week the PS has been removing them. I went in today because I felt I had a infection. After seeing the PS he confirmed that I do have a infection and is treating me with Clindamycin HCL 300 mg 3 X daily. The reason I am wondering if this is appropriate is because his partner was in the exam room and she suggested Cephalexin and he said no. Is the Clindamycin a better choice?
Are dissolvable stitches used In a breast lift 6 weeks post op supposed to be tender and painful when they are dissolving? I have also had many stitches spit out of already healed skin. Is there a chance that my body won't dissolve them and want to spit them all out?
I am post op breast lift and augmentatation 4 weeks and have a spitting stitch. I originally thought it was an external stitch so I used a splinter pin to try and drig it out. To my horror as I tried pulling I could feel it was like a nylon stitch and the then I could see 2 knots in the stitch. The hole is not big when I opened it but the suture is visible and I can feel it when I rub my finger on it.
