I had a revision with a lift 3 1/2 weeks ago and at 2 wks when I removed the tape I noticed I had two small holes on my breast on the vertical incision line. My doctor is 4 hrs away but I sent pictures and they called in antibiotics and a topical ointment which I have been on for about 8 days. They also had me trim the exposed stitch, which I did about 5 days ago. I just don't see much improvement and am worried. What else can I do? I also leave it exposed to air, clean, and dry when I can
Two years ago I had excess breast tissue removed from my armpit. There have always been a few pucker points along the incision line. This past week, this pimple like sac formed (if I press on it, it drains pus and then is full again the next day). Is this an ingrown hair that's caused an infection or a suture coming out?
I had my BA done on May 31st and got my stitches out a week ago but a few days later one came out in my hand in the shower and I assumed it was just missed, however I noticed today there is a hole there and it looks like a hole caused by a spit stitch. I am concerned because it has not started to scab and a week has passed since I found the stitch. Does it take a while to heal or is this not a spit stitch at all? I will make an appoimtment, but I just need some peace of mind in the meantime.
I'm almost 4 weeks post op breast lift/aug. From pictures I've seen, these look like spitting stitches but a lot of them. I have knots under the skin along incision and I can feel something that feels like a thick string connecting the knots. Is this really bad? What's going on??? Also my breast are still very sore.
I've had about10 different open wounds that my surgeon says is a result of suture spitting. I'm close to 5 months post op. Each time I think it will be my last sore, I start to get another one. This feels never ending and has been the worst experience of my life? Meanwhile, my breasts keep looking worse and worse. I feel completely helpless! What can I Do to help this process go smoother? How long is this suture spitting going to go on? Will I just have to deal with ugly, scarred breasts? Thanks
I am 1 yr post op. At first I was told were some spitting stitches. But what started as just one, slowly became 3 all around my aerola. One completely healed up a few months ago, but at the moment I have 3 sore spots (1 in my actual aerola) that fill with pus. When I clean the pus up I can see what my surgeon said is a permanent stitch (white tape like stitch, to stop the aerola from spreading). I have tried 3 wks of anti-biotics to get rid of the infection but it hasn't worked. What's going on?
